The Assassin’s Creed series has seen many installments, and there are still several more to come. In addition to projects like Red and Jade, Ubisoft is also developing a part of the series known under the codename Hexe. New reports about it appeared today.

The French unveiled the Hexe project in 2022, promising to deliver a different experience than the previous games in the series. Over time, we also learned the alleged place and time of the action - our dark adventure is supposed to be set in 16th-century Germany and focus on witches.

Thanks to fresh reports from Insider Gaming, we can add further elements to the knowledge about the game. According to Tom Henderson, the only protagonist of this part of AC will be a woman named Elsa, who has supernatural powers.

The video provided to the website reportedly depicts a segment of gameplay featuring Elsa being pursued through the city streets by a group of men. At one point, she takes control of a passing cat, which the players are to temporarily embody in order to divert the attention of the pursuers.

Interestingly, Hexe is expected to incorporate a fear system similar to the mechanics known from the Jack The Ripper expansion for AC: Syndicate (you can see what it was all about in this video).

Henderson also provided a possible release date for Project Hexe. According to the insider, the game will be released in 2026 and will be included in Infinity, a service created by various Ubisoft branches.
