Batman: The Telltale Series patch addresses performance issues

The game now uses dedicated graphics card by default and lets you choose between “high quality” and “high performance” textures.

Following its release two days ago, the first episode of Batman: The Telltale Game Series hasn’t quite gone down like a lead balloon, but its reception wasn’t that spectacular, either. Steam users were complaining mostly about performance issues and called out the devs, who have now delivered a patch fixing most of the problems (and buffing up the reviews as well). Long story short: the game used integrated graphics card instead of the dedicated one, and now it… doesn’t do that anymore, as it chooses the latter as default. If you want to know more about this spectacular turn of events, a detailed changelog can be found here. Also, it is now possible to change textures’ settings either to “high quality” or “high performance,” which is quite self-explanatory.

Have no fear, fixes are here.

What’s more, you are kindly requested to make sure that your graphics card drivers are up to date, and update them if they’re not. Meanwhile, if the issues listed above happened not to interfere with your gaming experience, please continue your adventure. And if the case is that you have already finished the first episode, stay tuned. It is to be expected that Episode 2 – “Children of Arkham” – will arrive between September 6 and September 27.
