Blizzard is Working on an Epic Multiplayer Game

Blizzard Entertainment developers are working on new games. Among the yet unannounced projects we will find, for example, an ambitious AAA-class FPS.

Blizzard's Senior Vice President Allen Adham's announcement, claiming that the company will not make more remastersend of their classic games was supposed to indicate a redirection of manpower to new games. According to job listings posted by the studio, we can expect at least a few fresh titles, including one big AAA project, which is supposed to be a spectacular online shooter with a single-player mode. Dan John Cox, a senior artist at Blizzard, announced on Twitter that he was building a team for an "unannounced" project, while not hiding his enthusiasm about working on this particular game. He describes it as something really cool, and even calls it the best idea he's ever done in his career. The mysterious project will be an FPS for PC and consoles, featuring a campaign or offline mode and the option to coooperate or compete with other players, all wrapped up in innovative and breathtaking visuals. At least that's how it appears from the job offers posted by Blizzard, as the company is looking for people who have experience with this type of game.

Among the dozens of advertisements, there are some in which candidates are expected to be competent in concept work, modeling, and texturing of "highly creative and artistic 3D environments" that are expected to push creative boundaries of possibilities and feature a unique style. Applicants for the Level Designer position will need to demonstrate their ability to construct "epic and memorable worlds."

In total, there are nearly 55 job listings on Blizzard's website for "unannounced" projects, and the fresh teams will focus not only on new games but also new genres. Some of the listings also mention jobs for mobile developers and other smaller projects.
