In case anyone had any doubts, the Twitter account of the informant CharlieINTEL has posted confirmation (the source of which is a meeting with Activision Blizzard investors) that Modern Warfare 3 will be a premium game, priced at $70.

A few days ago, the devs finally officially announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, this year's installment of the most popular series of first-person shooters. At that time, however, the hardware platforms for which the game is headed were not announced. Now this information has finally been revealed.

  1. Activision Blizzard has officially confirmed, that CoD: Modern Warfare III will come to PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PlayStation 5.
  2. Important here are plans to release the game on the previous generation of consoles. Initially, Microsoft's official website has listed only the Xbox Series X and S versions, leading some gamers to believe that this year's release would be the first to abandon older devices. However, this turned out to be just a mistake - the aforementioned page has been updated and a mention of the Xbox One has also been added to it.
  3. Owners of eighth-generation consoles should therefore be satisfied. Nowadays, sales of "next-gens" have already reached such a high level that more and more companies are abandoning Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions. CoD however, is a brand that usually delays for a long time before abandoning the old generation. The PS4 debuted in 2013, but only Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, launching three years later, wasn't released on PS3. As you can see, now Activision Blizzard has decided to support the previous generation even longer.

How many teams are working on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3?

It should also be mentioned that thanks to the game's card on Battle.net we got to know the list of teams that are working on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. In total, seven studios are responsible for the project:

  1. Sledgehammer Games;
  2. Treyarch;
  3. Infinity Ward;
  4. Beenox;
  5. Raven;
  6. High Moon;
  7. Demonware.

Beta first on PlayStation

Finally, it is worth mentioning that the beta version of the game will be available on PlayStation consoles at least five days earlier than on other platforms. Most likely, traditionally, only people with pre-orders will take part in the first tests, and only later will the open beta take place.
