Dune Movie on New Posters; Main Characters Presented

Warner Bros. has released a series of posters featuring characters from the upcoming Dune movie. They feature Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson and other stars of the acting cast.

Along with a new trailer Dune due out later this week, Warner Bros. has released a set of new character posters for the film. They give a little more insight into the characters in the upcoming sci-fi epic from the director of Blade Runner 2049.

The posters include Oscar Isaac, who looks very distressed as Duke Leto. In addition, we see Jason Momoa playing the swordmaster Duncan Idaho, as well as Timothée Chalamet, who will play the young Paul Atreides. The villains are represented by Stellan Skarsgard as Baron Vladimir Harkonnen.

Denis Villeneuve's upcoming work will be another attempt to turn the sprawling sci-fi series into a feature film. Dune has had a huge impact on literature since its release in 1965, but no new cinematic adaptation has been made after David Lynch's 1984 film.

Dune has been in production for several years now. It was originally scheduled to be released in theaters in November 2020, but the release was delayed due to the pandemic. Despite reports of a 45-day exclusive theatrical distribution window, the debut will take place simultaneously on HBO Max.

Dune will premiere on October 22.
