New Content for Civilization 6 Officially Announced
The Leader Pass for Civilization VI has just been announced. New legendary leaders in DLC form are coming.
Developers of Sid Meier's Civilization VI have just announced the Leader Pass - a pass that enriches the title with 12 new leaders and 6 alternative variants of already available characters. This confirmed recent leaks related to the game's future.
The pass will be available for free to owners of the Anthology set or available for purchase separately (on Steam and Epic Games Store). You can watch its short trailer below.
Leader Pass will be released "in installments" from November 21, 2022 to March 2023. Each of the six packs included in the pass is to include three characters. Thus, as early as November, Abraham Lincoln, Queen Nzinga Mbande and Sultan Saladin will enter the game. Moreover:
"Each leader will receive a set of surprising new or altered abilities and exciting new objectives that will change your approach to the game over five fantastic months of world domination."
It is worth noting that the pass itself requires the basic version of Civilization VI, and several of the included characters additionally need specific DLCs. Take a look at the full content of Leader Pass:
- 1. Great Negotiators Pack: Abraham Lincoln (United States), Queen Nzinga Mbande (Congo), Sultan Saladin (Arabia);
- 2. Great Commanders Pack: Tokugawa (Japan), Nadir Shah (Persia, requires Persia and Macedonia scenario pack), Suleiman the Magnificent (Ottoman Empire, requires expansion of the Gathering Storm);
- 3. China Rulers Pack: Yongle; Qin Shi Huang, Unificationist; Wu Zetian;
- 4. Sahara Rulers Pack: Ramses (Egypt), Cleopatra of the Ptolemaic dynasty (Egypt), King Sundiata Keita (Mali, requires expansion of the Gathering Storm);
- 5. Great Builders pack: Theodora (Byzantine Empire, requires pass New Frontier and the Byzantium and Gauls pack), Sejong (Korea, requires the Rise and Fall expansion. Rise and Fall), Louis II (Germany);
- 6. England Rulers Pack: Elizabeth I (England), Harald the Harsh of the Varangians (Norway), Victoria - Age of Steam (England).
The Anthology set, as well as the basic version of Civilization VI are available at a discounted price until November 22 on Steam.
