Forza Motorsport is the eight instalment and the reboot of a popular racing game series. It allows players to experience and compete in races all around the world, with realistic psychics that take into account many different conditions on the race track. It also offers controller support, which is essential for many fans of the racing genre. However, some players report issues with controller connectivity post launch. Here is what you can do to fix controller not working in Forza Motorsport 8 (FM8).

Controller not Working in Forza Motorsport (FM) Fix

Post launch of Forza Motorsport, a portion of players have experienced issues with their controllers. For some, the game does not detect the controller at all, while others have a problem with the pad disconnecting during gameplay. The specifics might depend on your setup, but if you’re having trouble with your controller connection in Forza Motosport, you’ve come to the good place.

Forza Motorsport (FM) Controller Fixes

  1. Check if your controller is properly connected to your PC or Xbox. If you’re experiencing issues in wireless mode, plug the controller in via cable if you have the option.
  2. Update your controller and graphic card drivers.
  3. Disconnect all other perhipheral devices.
  4. If you’re using Steam, make sure the Xbox App is also running.
  5. Go to the Steam application and click Steam in upper left corner. Go to Settings, and then pick Controllers. Find the Enable Steam Input option for your device. If your controller isn’t working properly when this option is turned off, turn it on. On the other hand, if Enable Steam Input was already turned on when you had connectivity issues, turning it off might help.
  6. Restart the game.

If none of these fixes are working, keep in mind that the game is newly launched and might receive a patch in the coming days.
