Crashlands 2 is a popular indie game with elements of survival and RPG. Fans of the first installment had to wait 9 long years for continuation. Luckily, developers from Butterscotch Shenanigans did not abandon the series and they released a sequel yesterday (April 10). However, not all players are happy. The game was launched only on PC and mobiles (Android and iOS). Is there a chance for more supported platforms?

According to the official Support page, console release of Crashlands 2 is currently not planned. However, there is a slim chance that it will change in the future. Why do we think so? For starters, the first installment of the series is available on Xbox and Nintendo Switch. So, consoles are not strangers for developers.

Moreover, while it is not confirmed on the Steam page yet (at least at time of writing this article), Butterscotch Shenanigans studio announced that the game works well on Steam Deck. It further supports the theory that console ports are not impossible.

Of course, it does not mean that versions on other platforms will ever happen. However, there is a chance that if demand is high enough, developers will rethink their decision. Of course, the final word belongs to Butterscotch Shenanigans. However, while slim, you don’t have to lose hope. Let’s keep an eye on the official profiles. If you would like to see Crashlands 2 on consoles, leave creators a comment, encouraging them to change their mind.
