CD Projekt Red released Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition for Mac. Owners of devices from Apple have been waiting a long time to officially visit Night City.
The Mac version of Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition got an update that improves path tracing, so now it should run and look just as good as the versions available on Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store. CD Projekt Red notes that downloading a patch is required, but the build number will not change.
Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is now available for computers with macOS system. Today, the game received an update to version 2.3.
After a big delay, Mac users finally have a release date for Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, including the base game and the Phantom Liberty expansion. As announced by CD Projekt Red, the complete edition of the RPG will hit Mac computers on July 17, 2025.
However, it's important to note that the title will only be supported on models with an Apple Silicon processor and at least 16 GB of RAM.
On more powerful Mac computers, it will be possible to enable ray tracing, FSR, or MetalFX. Also, Apple devices like the Magic Mouse or Trackpad are supposed to be supported, so we can use them while having fun. There will also be an HDR mode, surround sound, and compatibility with AirPods.
Although Cyberpunk 2077 will officially launch on Apple computers this coming Thursday, players were able to run it on Macs earlier - however, they needed a special tool that imported titles from the Windows system.
The Polish studio recently postponed the release date of the 2.3 update for CP2077, without providing a new one. If you haven't had a chance to check out the game yet, it was added to the PS Plus subscription in July 2025 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
