Cyberpunk 2077 and Save Game Data Transfer Between Consoles

CD Projekt RED has announced that Cyberpunk 2077 will enable us to transfer saved game data between 8th- and 9th-gen hardware. The devs also explained how the process will look like on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S as well as PS4 and PS5.

The release of Cyberpunk 2077 is approaching. Therefore, CD Projekt RED revealed further details related to the game. This time the issue of transferring saved games between console generations has been raised. The studio confirmed that this option will be available. Information about the process was also shared.

Transfer of Cyberpunk 2077's saves between Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S is possible thanks to Smart Delivery. The entire process can only be done over the Internet by sending data to the cloud from the 8th generation console or by connecting XOne and XSX|S on the same network and using the data transfer option.

There are several options for transferring game saves from PS4 to PS5. The transfer can be made using a PlayStation Plus account, LAN cable, Wi-Fi or a compatible external storage media.

Cyberpunk 2077 will launch on December 10 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
