There will be no public exhibition of CD Projekt RED's Cyberpunk 2077 during this year's Gamescom, the developer confirmed. With any luck, game journalists will be the only ones to see another gameplay footage behind closed doors.

Cyberpunk 2077 fans – bad news ahead. No gameplay footage from the much-anticipated sci-fi blockbuster will be shown to the public during this year’s Gamescom, CD Projekt RED confirmed. The devloper – best known for creating The Witcher RPG series, which is hailed as one of the best videogame franchises of all time – said that they “will not run a public booth” at the show.
CD Projekt RED has also booked a booth at the Gamescom business site. However, this area is only open to trade visitors, like media representatives. And so the only people who might be able to see Cyberpunk 2077 in action – once again behind closed doors – are journalist and investors.

The short answer: nothing we can be sure of. The longer-yet-highly-speculative answer: there are a few possibilities:
The possibility of game journalists getting their hands on the game is also near to nonexistent, as the game is currently in pre-alpha. Don’t get too anxious, though. If there’s one thing we can be sure of, it’s that Cyberpunk 2077 will be great no matter the weather.
As for the rest, and how things are really gonna be – we’ll all see somewhere between August 21 and 25. That’s when Gamescom is taking place.
