Cyberpunk 2077 Taken Over by Rust

Valve published last week's listb> of the biggest bestsellers (by revenue) on Steam. Cyberpunk 2077 lost its leading position and Rust took the highest step of the podium . This online survival game is currently experiencing a golden period, setting new activity records every now and then. The large increase in interest in the project is due to the creation, at the end of last year, of a server where dozens of very popular streamers play together. This project proved to be extremely popular - on January 4, Twitch streams from the game were followed by over 1.3 million people at the same time.

In second place on Steam's bestseller list was secured by the Valve Index VR Kit. The sales numbers here are not so impressive (among other things due to limited supply), but the device costs aroun $1000, and the list is based on revenue.

Cyberpunk 2077 can be found only on the third position. Despite this drop, CD Projekt RED's game still sells excellent. As you can see, even poor technical condition and controversies associated with it did not disqualify the project in the eyes of many players. On Steam, 78% of user ratings are positive, which means a slight decrease compared to a few days ago, but it is only one percent lower, so it is difficult to talk about a significant change in the game's reception.

It is also worth noting the excellent debut of the strategy game Heroes of the Three Kingdoms 8, which took fourth place. This is all the more impressive that the game is only available in Chinese and is relatively cheap. This shows the strength of the Chinese market.
