Unforgettable Cyberpunk 2077 Moments - Dev Asks About Favourite Quests

Pawel Sasko, the lead quest designer for Cyberpunk 2077, asked Twitter users about the most and least liked missions. The developer hopes to improve some things, but also intends to learn lessons for the future.

Cyberpunk 2077 can be accused of a lot, but certainly not that it's quests are poorly written. The stories in most of them are engaging and memorable. Which missions were particularly memorable for us and why? Pawel Sasko, the lead quests designer for CD Projekt RED's latest game, wanted to know the answers to this question. The developer asked Twitter users about the most and least favorite quests. Tips from the community were supposed to help him and his team improve some of the story elements in Cyberpunk 2077 but also to be a guideline for the future.

As you can probably guess, the responses were varied. Players assured us that they had a great time going through the storylines of Aldecaldos, Judy Alvarez, Kerry Eurodyne, Rivera Ward or learning about Johnny Silverhand's past and motivations. Specifically, quests such as A Like Supreme, Pyramid Song, and The Hunt were praised. Smaller quests such as They Won't Go When I Go and The Pickup were also highlighted (due to the many ways to complete them), and even side activities - to quote one Twitter user: "Enjoying a rollercoaster with a grinning Keanu Reeves was a fun experience.".

There were fewer people complaining, but - somewhat ironically - it is from their posts that Pawel Sasko and his team can learn the most. If you've played Cyberpunk 2077 you can probably guess what the biggest criticism was. It couldn't have been any other way - those miserable, painfully repetitive cyberpsycho missions. There are seventeen of them in total; in theory they were meant to be varied and act as mini-bosses, but in practice killing or neutralising them added little to the story. In the community's opinion, the plot would have been better if there had been less fighting and more story.

It seems that Pawel Sasko and the rest of the designers of Cyberpunk 2077 have been given some solid material to work with. The effects of their efforts may be visible in the upcoming DLC - assuming CD Projekt RED finally releases it.

And what are your favourite quests from Cyberpunk 2077? Let us know in the comments.
