The second half of 2023 promises to be hot, even if you are not interested in the projects of big publishers. Nevertheless, souslike fans will have to find a spare moment, because September will see the release of a demo of a promising mod for Dark Souls III - Archthrones.

Announced in 2022, the mod caught the attention of players in January 2023, when its creators demonstrated an intriguing gameplay video. Now the creators have released a short teaser of the demo version, presenting the desert land of Carthus, which is well known (from hearsay) to fans of the game. You can watch the footage below.

As a reminder: Dark Souls III: Archthrones will be a prequel, so to speak, to the third installment of the series. The mod will tell a completely new story and take players to five worlds, connected by the Nexus like in Demon's Souls. Anyway, FromSoftware fans will notice many more similarities to the Japanese studio's works, even in the aforementioned gameplay from January.

As an aside: the entire Dark Souls trilogy is currently discounted on Steam. While not the lowest prices ever, the series has gone on sale for the first time since 2021, i.e. since the emergence of the problems with hackers (fortunately already dealt with).
