Dead by Daylight - Perk Changes 2022

In this message you will find descriptions of Dead by Daylight perks, which will be changed in the near future.

Big changes are coming to Dead by Daylight. Developers from Behaviour Interactive are planning changes in the prestige system and matchmaking, among others. However, the biggest change will be the rework of 39 perks appearing in the game - including those in the metagame. Below you will find a description of all the changes.

Changes to meta perks

Meta perks appear in the game very often. This is due to the fact that they are extremely powerful and can give a distinct advantage. Therefore, the developers have decided to nerf their effect.

Killer perks

When a survivor is hung from a hook, the auras of people more than 40 meters away will be revealed for 4 seconds.

Additionally, each survivor hanging from the hook for the first time will give a token guaranteeing a 25% bonus on bloodpoints received.

Detection ability will remain unchanged. However, the bonus to bloodpoints will be removed.

Hex: Ruin

Unrepaired generators automatically regress at 100/150/200% speed. The effect lasts until the cursed hex is destroyed.

The regression speed of unrepaired generators will be reduced to 50/75/100%. Additionally the cursed hex will be destroyed automatically after the first survivor dies.

Pop Goes the Weasel

When a survivor is hung from a hook, the next generator that is kicked will instantly lose 25% of its total condition.

When the generator repair progress is 70%, an audible notification will appear and the killer's terror range will be reduced to 0 m for 12/14/16 seconds.

The number of notifications per generator will be reduced to one.

Hex: No One Escapes Death

The hex appears after powering up the exit gates. It grants a 2/3/4 % movement speed bonus, and any living survivors get vulnerable status.

The hex still retains its properties, but its aura is highlighted to the survivors that are:

  1. Located within 4 m immediately after activation;
  2. Located within 24 m, 30 seconds after activation.

Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance

After suspending a survivor from a scourge hook, the progress of a generator in the best condition drops by 15%, and the survivor repairing it will scream.

After hanging a survivor, the progress of a generator in the best condition will continue to drop, but the survivor will not scream.
