Decide who lives and who dies in We, the Revolution, a game set in 18th-century Paris

We, the Revolution is going to present the French Revolution from the perspective of a powerful judge. In this game, the player's decisions will determine the lives of many people.

Poland-based studio Polyslash announced We, the Revolution, an intriguing game set in the tumultuous period of the French Revolution. Here, you play as a judge of the Revolutionary Tribunal, who wields the power over the fate of many human beings, including enemies of the cause, criminals as well as ordinary citizens. Having such responsibility in your hands, you will face many tough choices and your decisions will impact not only enemies and simple Parisians, but your friends and family as well. We, the Revolution is planned to launch on Steam in late 2017.

Power corrupts. What would you do when given the power over many people’s lives?

As for gameplay mechanics, it is unclear what We, the Revolution is exactly going to be, but it’s likely somewhat similar to logic/strategy games like Papers, Please or This is the Police. The official description reads: “The Judge has to peruse case files, study evidence, and interrogate the defendants in a way that ensures either justice... or the player's profit”. What we do know, is that We, the Revolution will feature beautiful, unique art style heavily inspired by cubism, whose most notable representative was Pablo Picasso. Check out the official website.
