Developers of Wuchang Fallen Feathers give tips on how to fix performance issues such as stuttering and low FPS

The soulslike genre has become very popular in the recent years. It's no surprise, as players clearly crave challenging, difficult gameplay. For this reason, many developers are eager to show us that they can bring something new to the genre. A perfect example is Wuchang Fallen Feathers, a game from Leenzee studio, which was released just a few hours ago (July 24, 2025). However, many players can’t find out what it has to offer because they have to deal with technical problems. If you are also affected by performance issues - stuttering or low FPS - here are some useful tips that may help.
How to fix performance and low FPS in Wuchang Fallen Feathers
Wuchang Fallen Feathers did not have the best release. There are nearly 2,700 reviews on Steam, of which only 19% are positive. This is a very poor result... The main reason for players' frustration is the game's poor technical condition on PC. There are complaints about low FPS, stuttering, and loading issues.
Fortunately, there are tips, provided by the developers themselves, to improve the game:
- Stuttering, crashes or failure to launch after update – if you are experiencing this issue, use the file integrity verification tools provided by Steam, EGS, or Microsoft Store. This option will allow you to repair the files and potentially resolve the problem.
- The game is running very slowly – among the basic things, the developers recommend installing the game on an SSD drive, updating your graphics card drivers to the latest version, and enabling the Frame Generation option, which you can find in Graphic Details (Settings). It is also worth lowering “Oversampling Resolution,” “Global Illumination,” “Shadow Quality,” and “Texture Quality” settings. Of course, don’t forget about turning off all unnecessary background apps.
- Low FPS, screen tearing while DLSS Frame Generation is enabled – activate Vertical Sync in NVIDIA Control Panel.
These tricks should improve your gaming experience to some extent. However, if you still don't notice any changes, you will have to wait for patches that will hopefully improve the optimization of Wuchang Fallen Feathers.
