Diablo 4 Will Receive New Story Content Every 3 Months

Diablo fans will not be able to complain about a lack of attractions after the release of the latest installment. The game's director confirmed that the game will regularly receive additional content, including story.

As the upcoming Diablo IV is not among the cheapest game, Blizzard must provide players with rich post-release content. Some light was shed on the subject by the deputy director of D4, Joe Piepiora.

In an interview with the editors of Game Informer the developer announced that Diablo IV will receive major updates every three months. They will enrich the game not only in terms of new mechanics and features, but also story content. Speaking of this, Piepiora was careful to avoid the word "expansions." Instead, he stated that fans will be treated to "meaty updates."

Optimism somehow scarce

It is worth looking at the reactions of players to the aforementioned information. In the comments on Reddit it's hard to look for signs of excessive optimism. Doubts about Blizzard's ambitious plans prevail. Players claim that Diablo IV is simply not ready for release, so the developers will release some of the core content at a later date.

There are also those who suggest that plans to introduce additional content with each subsequent season of Diablo IV have been suggested for a long time. Nevertheless, we now have an official confirmation.

Regular story updates shouldn't be particularly surprising if we consider another Blizzard game - World of Warcraft. Fans of the RPG certainly know that the title from time to time receives additional content that expands the storyline and adds novelties to the game mechanics.

Last week, Blizzard shared information about the endgame in Diablo IV. At the time, the developers announced that quite a lot of activities will be waiting for the players after completing the main storyline.
