It’s like modern fun meets classic dirt roads. #DRIVE Rally captures the spirit of '90s rally games.
Looking for that classic Colin McRae Rally feel? #DRIVE Rally might be right in your lane. After spending seven months in Early Access, the game hit version 1.0 on April 16th, 2025, bringing in fresh features, new maps, more cars, and a bunch of gameplay tweaks to level things up.
#DRIVE Rally brings the spirit of '90s rally racing. With iconic cars, diverse global tracks, and a passionate co-driver by our side, the game blends retro style with more modern arcade fun. We can customize our vehicles, master a handling system (that’s easy to learn but could be tough to master), and explore detailed environments like Dry Crumbs, Holzberg, and Revontuli.
With the game’s full launch, the devs added a bunch of new content:
Most reviews on OpenCritic and Steam are pretty positive, but the biggest gripe with #DRIVE Rally seems to be the repetitive gameplay. The chatty co-drivers add some charm, but they might wear on you after a while. And there’s no minimap, so finding your way can get a little tough… though that feels like intentional.
The good news is that the devs at Pixel Perfect Dude are paying attention and actively improving things. A console release might even be in the cards down the line.

Been with gamepressure.com since 2019, mostly writing game guides but you can also find me geeking out about LEGO (huge collection, btw). Love RPGs and classic RTSs, also adore quirky indie games. Even with a ton of games, sometimes I just gotta fire up Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, KOTOR, or Baldur's Gate 2 (Shadows of Amn, the OG, not that Throne of Bhaal stuff). When I'm not gaming, I'm probably painting miniatures or admiring my collection of retro consoles.
