PS5's DualSense Will Get Two New Color Variations

The requests of gamers around the world have apparently been heard. The DualSense controller known from PlayStation 5 will receive new alternative color variants. What versions will join the standard white model?

We must admit that Sony made the players wait a long time for the possibility of buying a DualSense pad in a color other than white. The PS5 launched six months ago. During this time, the players were forced to use the included gamepad, the color of which was not to everyone's liking. However, this will change next month, as two new DualSense models will go on sale - Midnight Black and Cosmic Red.

You have to admit, the red DualSense variant looks pretty good

As we can read in the official entry on the PlayStation blog, new color variants of the gamepad are to offer an unusual design. Midnight Black consists of two shades of black with additional grey inserts that are supposed to mimic the 'night sky view'. On the other hand, Cosmic Red will offer a combination of red and black, making the controller sure to catch the eye of many gamers.

Although the new DualSense versions are expected to go on sale next month, we have yet to learn the exact release date. The price of Cosmic Red and Midnight Black also remains a mystery. However, it can be expected that they will not be much more expensive than the standard controller. The new models have already appeared on the manufacturer's official website, so we may soon learn more about their availability and prices.

The arrival of a black PS5 controller was just a matter of time

Does the arrival of new color versions of the controller mean that gamers will soon be able to buy PlayStation 5 in a color other than white? That would be a really good move on Sony's part because let's be honest, the black and red pads don't really match the console's original color scheme much. Of course, you can take matters into your own hands and follow the example of other users who have repainted their PS5 in more suitable colors.
