E3 2015: Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 – New Details and First Video
The official website of Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 has launched – CI Games published some information about the game and the first videos in the form of developer’s diary featuring gameplay bits.

We’ve known about the existence of Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 for a while now, but we had to wait until E3 to get some detailed information. Yesterday the official website of the production launched, and it features some interesting information, as well as video content that allows us to see the third installment of the sniper simulator series in action.
Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 takes us into a reality that bears a striking resemblance to the current situation in Ukraine. In the game’s scenario a new cold war breaks out between Russia and the United States. The player will assume the role of a marksman serving the latter of these factions, who is cast behind enemy lines by himself. This will be an unspecified area in Eastern Europe – "a region that was considered remote and strategically useless" that undergoes destabilization due to attacks of Russia-backed separatists. The task of our protagonist will be to clarify the situation and to prevent the exacerbation of the conflict. What’s interesting is that the website seems to suggest that we might get some freedom in shaping the storyline: "(...) you will have to work with or against the many warring factions".
As for the gameplay itself, the presented materials prove that Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 will offer us much bigger locations, as well as a broader spectrum of actions available. This is also confirmed by statements from the official website:
”Surviving is more than just pulling the trigger. Navigate harsh countryside, improvise weapons, negotitate with warring factions and eliminate targets.”
”Taking out an enemy from afar is only one way to acomplish a mission. Stealth kills, drone strikes, improvised traps ... When every bullet counts, everything is a weapon.”
It is difficult to clearly interpret these words, but it seems that CI Games is preparing a mixture of gameplay model characteristic of the Hitman series with a survival game – but without an open world, since the devs talk about "missions", and in one of the videos the word "maps" (probably understood as levels) is used. Nevertheless, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 looks surprisingly intriguing. Whether my speculations are correct, we shall see – perhaps even at this edition of E3.
