EA Remembers of Star Wars: Squadrons; New Ships and Maps Inbound

The latest update for Star Wars: Squadrons, which will come out at the end of this month, in addition to numerous improvements, will bring a completely new map, two more ships, as well as the ability to create and configure our own multiplayer games.

Star Wars: Squadrons was one of the nicest surprises of the year. This arcade space simulator from Motive, set in the Star Wars universe, has become one of the hottest games of recent months for many gamers. In the latest dev blog entry, the devs not only thank the fans for their support and flattering opinions, but also present the nearest plans for the development of the title in the form of an expansive patch.

Update 3.0 will be officially released on November 25. Apart from numerous fixes, which will eliminate many known bugs and other problems, other attractions await gamers. The first of them is a new map, called Fostar Haven, which was pulled directly from one of the missions of the story campaign. However, the devs have adapted it for multiplayer fun, introducing numerous changes in its construction. They are also intended to reflect the passage of four years since the map was shown in the game's single-player campaign.

Another attraction of the update are two new fully playable spaceships. These are the legendary imperial TIE Defender and B-wing, the unique New Republic fighter. In addition, all ships in the game will receive further components and armaments. The refreshed arsenal includes new rockets, torpedoes and cannons, as well as afterburner.

Finally, it is also worth mentioning creation of private games. The developers will finally add this highly-anticipated option. Thanks to it, we will organize matches between two teams, with up to five people per side of the conflict. In addition to choosing a map, we will also set up various types of game modifiers, limiting e.g. used weapons, type of ships, as well as increasing or decreasing the amount of damage. Private matches can be found through a special server search engine or through our friends list.
