EVE Online Available on Phones

Finally, the day has come for the launch of EVE Echoes, a space MMO and a mobile spin-off to the PC version known as EVE Online.

EVE Echoes can now be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play, and the servers launched today at 1 AM PT.

Today EVE Echoes, a mobile MMO and a spin-off of the popular PC game EVE Online debuted. The app can already be downloaded and installed, and the servers launched at 1 AM PT.

EVE Echoes is available on devices with iOS and Android systems. In both cases the game uses the freemium model.

The game is set in an alternative version of New Eden, EVE Online's universe. The actions of mobile players do not affect the situation on PC servers.

EVE Echoes was developed by NetEase Games, and the authors of the original, i.e. people from CCP, helped in the works. Despite its mobile character, the game recreates most of the elements for which players liked the original on PC. So we get a full-blooded MMO with a great sandbox world, where the situation is shaped mainly by the players themselves. We can explore more than eight thousand star systems, and the number of available ships exceeds a hundred.

The game heavily emphasizes PvP games, both between individual players and the organizations they establish. A key role is played by virtual economy, which is entirely shaped by users' decisions.

In some aspects, the game is simplified in comparison to the PC model. For example, in star battles, up to a hundred users can participate, while on the PC, thousands of players can fight in the biggest battles. Nevertheless, EVE Echoes still offers a much higher level of complexity than typical mobile MMOs and can be an interesting proposition for those looking for something more ambitious on smartphones and tablets.
