FALLOUT 76 IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. Developer: Bethesda Game Studios
  2. Publisher: Bethesda Softworks
  3. Genre: RPG/survival sandbox
  4. Platforms: PC, XONE, PS4
  5. Release date: November 14, 2018.

Fallout 76, the post-apocalyptic online game from Bethesda studio, received a new update, the biggest attraction of which is the introduction of a beta version of the survival mode. The PC patch is numbered 1.1.1.1.2 and requires us to download 2GB of data. On consoles the patch is marked as 1.1.1.1.1 and takes 4GB.

Thanks to the update, the previously known gameplay mode was renamed to Adventure, and the new survival variant functions as Survival. The latter option does not have any special requirements. We can start playing the beta with a new character, as well as freely move a high-level character between the two modes without losing progress.

In the new mode, players are hostile to each other by default and can attack each other without restrictions. Hiding weapon allows you to signal neutrality, which changes the colour of the font from red to yellow. The map no longer displays the position of other users, unless a bounty is being offered for their head or they are in the top three of longest-living characters.

After our death, we drop not only junk but also a random number of Aid items that were in our equipment. The "Seek Revenge" respawn option has been removed and cap rewards for player kills, and Cap deductions on death have been doubled. Fast travelling has also been limited, and the respawn can take place only in Vault 76, a camp or a railway station.

In return for these difficulties in survival mode we get a 20% bonus on experience points and we can take part in special weekly challenges, the completion of which is rewarded with legendary items.

Let's remind that Fallout 76 was released on November 14, on PC as well as Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The game was received coldly - the PC edition now has an average rating of 52% on Metacritic.
