Project Hadar from studio CD Projekt Red is still full of mysteries, but a new job announcement sheds some light on the direction of the game's development.
There's some new info about the upcoming mysterious game from CD Projekt Red, currently known as Project Hadar. On the website of the Polish studio, a job offer for a Senior Gameplay Designer for this project has been posted. It contains several interesting clues about what might be hidden under this original title.
The most important tip is in the qualifications section - the first point on the list of skills required from potential candidates directly addresses experience in producing action and/or RPG games with a focus on melee combat. This suggests that it will play a significant role in the whole project and will most likely be one of its key elements. So we can conclude that we are not dealing with a shooter.
From the announcement, we also learn that Project Hadar is still in a very early stage of development. There is also mention about creating a whole new universe from scratch and having the opportunity to significantly influence the shape of the entire project. The developers and employees of the company themselves described Hadar as "something special" and a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."
This isn't the only open recruitment related to this project. At the same time, they're also looking for Quest Designers and Visual Effects Artists, but the announcement doesn't give any specific details about the project itself. So, whoever among you has the experience required by CD Projekt Red, might be tempted by this offer.
The Polish studio plans to achieve the status of a "global developer of pop culture and entertainment." Project Hadar can help with this, as it will be the first fully original brand of the studio. As The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 were based on existing universes.
