Forecasts say Natural Disasters are to hit Cities: Skylines next week

A week from now, players will be able to unleash hell at their metropolises in Cities: Skylines thanks to the Natural Disasters DLC.

One of the things players love about city builders the most is a chance to turn their hard work into rubble. Such possibility will be made available to Cities: Skylines fans next week on November 29 with the release of the much anticipated Natural Disasters DLC. Some of the disasters that mayors will be able to unleash at their cities are tornados, earthquakes, tsunamis, forest fires, meteor strikes, and more. Here’s the latest dev diary video, in which members of the team at Colossal Order discuss the key additions in the upcoming expansion.

On the other hand, if you aren’t simply a psychopath with your mind set on destroying everything around, you can take natural disasters as an extra challenge your city may have to face. In that case, you should build some early warning systems, prepare emergency units, build shelters for your citizens, and stay alert for any signs of potential dangers.

Along with the Natural Disasters DLC, Cities: Skylines will receive a free update. This one is going to add a scenario editor to the game, letting you create scenarios with specific goals, events, and winning conditions.
