Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun gets a free demo

If you liked the Commandos series, you should definitely check out Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, a tactical stealth game set in feudal Japan. You can now do that thanks to a free demo released on Steam and GOG.

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, a.k.a feudal Japan Commandos-like tactical stealth game, has got a free demo, which lets you have a taste of the title before it’s out in two weeks’ time – on December 6, 2016. You can now download it from Steam or GOG. The demo lets you play Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun for about an hour, starting off with a training mission set in a palace under siege, in which unique skills of individual heroes – a ninja, a samurai and a sniper – are introduced.

Like the aforementioned Commandos series, or similar Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive or Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun lets you command a team of up to five specially trained assassins, who pick up a string of stealth missions for the new shogun. These missions mostly involve infiltrating heavily guarded locations behind enemy lines and killing a target there, or performing an act of sabotage. The game leaves a lot of room for improvisation – usually, there is more than one solution to any problem. Watch an early gameplay footage below to get the gist:
