A new version of Realm of Thrones, an ambitious mod that takes Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord to the universe of A Song of Ice and Fire and the TV series Game of Thrones, has been released.
The project has been in development since May last year and now, in its latest version (3.7.0) it looks impressive. The scale and quality of the mod are well demonstrated by an extensive gameplay video prepared by the LT Gaming channel, available below:
Realm of Thrones offers a new world map that covers not only the land of Westeros, but also the continent of Essos. It also introduces dozens of factions and hundreds of units and characters. It also heavily alters the gameplay mechanics to better reflect the new setting.
It will still be a long time before the project will be fully polished (it is currently at what the authors call the early access stage), but already its level of development is enough to provide hours of excellent fun.
Recall that Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord premiered on PC in early access in March 2020. Version 1.0 will be released on October 25, this year. On the same day, dedicated versions of the game will debut on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.
