Ghostrunner 2, the sequel to the best-selling FPP action game from One More Level, will go on sale today. The cyberpunk title has already garnered high ratings from industry media.
At the hottest moment of release day, Ghostrunner 2 reached a score of 1744 concurrent players on Steam. This is a much weaker result than in the case of the first part - on the day of its debut, the latter was launched by as much as 11,294 players. Some consolation for the developers is the reception - on Steam as many as 93% of reviews praise the latest game from One More Level.
Today marks the release of Ghostrunner 2, a continuation of the very warmly received action game that combines the FPP and parkour with solutions straight out of Hotline Miami. The work of the Polish studio One More Level, whose publication was handled by 505 Games, which takes care of the brand, the game was developed for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
At the time these words are written, Ghostrunner 2 is not yet available for sale.
First reviews of Ghostrunner 2 appeared well in advance, as they became available as early as Monday. The title is receiving high ratings from industry media, and their average on Metacritic is equal to 80/100.
Nevertheless, the game is not free of flaws. Our reviewer, who rated the game at 8/10, pointed out, among other things, a certain repetitiveness of gameplay, technical issues, not very interesting storyline and finally the fact that after some time monotony creeps into the game. In his opinion, however, the game defends itself with a perfectly realized parkour, combat system and motorcycle riding sequences, as well as a great soundtrack.
System requirements of Ghostrunner 2 are presented as follows:
It is worth noting that release of Ghostrunner 2 is only the beginning of the game's life cycle. Recently, the devs announced a season pass, which will include five DLCs. Four of them will be small DLCs with cosmetic elements, while the fifth is a major expansion introducing an infinite motorcycle mode.
