Ghostrunner 2 collects good ratings from reviewers, although some of them are far from praising the game. Scores ranging from 8 to 9/10 prevail, but there are also a handful of "6s," making the average of noticeably lower than for Phantom Liberty.

To some extent, this is due to the underdevelopment of the technical layer of the second Ghostrunner. For the most part, these are minor glitches, although individual journalists experienced the game crashing or complain about optimization.

Nevertheless, the bigger problem for reviewers is the fact that Ghostrunner 2 changes little compared to its predecessor. The developers have included some successful innovations, but it's still an almost identical game. Also in terms of difficulty level, because both Ghostrunners are games in which both enemies and the hero die from one hit.

Let's add that the developer did not include in the sequel the accessibility options that made their way into the first one as part of updates. As a result, those for whom playing as a character that embodies the concept of the "glass cannon" is a torment or simply impossible, will quickly bounce from the work of One More Level.

In other respects, criticism is already divided. The reviewers unanimously praise the dynamic, polished combat, which gives great satisfaction. This, of course, is the main attraction of the game, which is probably why even the most complaining reviewers did not give ratings below 6/10 (at the time of publication of this text).

Ghostrunner 2 is a classic sequel, offering "more of the same" and providing plenty of fun with challenging but enjoyable skirmishes. Let's hope, however, that the day one patch will eliminate every major glitch. The game will be released on October 26 for PC, XSX/S and PS5.
