Ghostrunner 2 is an action-packed game set in a cyberpunk world. In it, we play a character who traverses locations and engage in spectacular battles with opponents. Despite the fact that the game features very nice graphics, some players want to make it even more beautiful by forcing the use of Ray Tracing (RTX) technology, which has not yet been officially implemented in the game. In this guide you will learn why you should not enable Ray Tracing in Ghostrunner 2.

Do not enable Ray Tracing in Ghostrunner 2

Ray Tracing is not yet officially available in Ghostrunner 2, but it can be activated using the -dx12 command in properties on Steam. This enables you to run the title on DirectX 12 and enable RTX in the settings. Then actually the game world looks nicer, but crashes very often, not to mention significant FPS drops.. If you want to enjoy smooth gameplay without problems, you should not enable Ray Tracing in Ghostrunner 2 and play on the default DX11.

RTX in Ghostrunner 2

Officially, Ray Tracing will make its way to Grostrunner 2 in one of the updates. The same goes for DirectX 12 support, the developers have informed that DX12 is currently causing instability. Therefore, until this is fixed, it is better to run the title in DX11 mode. This way the gameplay should be smooth, and in the case of Ghostrunner 2 this is very important, as it focuses on fast sequences where reflexes count, so at least a constant 60 frames per second is desirable.
