GreedFall 2 Roadmap Unveils Exciting Updates Shortly After Early Access Release
The developers of GreedFall 2 introduced the five companions with whom we will travel in the game. Furthermore, they showcased the roadmap. It reveals that the RPG will receive many new features soon after its release in Steam Early Access.
Update (September 19)
Today, Spiders studio presented the roadmap for GreedFall 2 in the first months of Early Access.
- At launch, the game will offer 3 regions (Teer Fradee, Thynia, and Uxantis), 6 companions, 6 skill trees, and the beginning of the main storyline.
- In the autumn of 2024, we will receive a new companion and quests related to them, as well as more of the main story, hub, an additional region, and 2 skill trees.
- The same thing will happen in Winter - we can expect new abilities, another companion, quests, and a crafting system.
- Next, the "Spiders" plan to add new story missions, a region, faction quests, skills, a photo mode, and a higher maximum character level to the game.

Fortunately, the release date of GreedFall II: The Dying World in Early Access wasn't affected by the significant problems that Spiders studio recently faced. We'll be able to play the game next week and to drum up some interest, the devs have published new materials introducing the companions we'll be traveling with.
Five companions
As the Steam post states: "companions are an integral part of GreedFall 2 and your journey." Their story and the way individual relationships will develop will depend on us. Five characters were briefly described.
- Nilan - a childhood friend of Vriden Gerr and a native with a deep connection to nature and the earth. He wants to protect his people, but he is also stubborn and helpless.
- Fausta is a girl from a noble family who can portray various personalities depending on the audience. Oriented in diplomacy, discreet, and reserved.
- Sybille - from a young age, she was involved in politics and family conspiracies. Although distrustful, she is also ready to make any sacrifice to protect her loved ones.
- Alvida - rebellious, strong and determined, constantly adhering to her ideals and iron will.
- Ludwig - a former soldier who doesn't believe in heroes. He is sarcastic, hates fake politeness, and doesn't shy away from aggression.
Moreover, the game features actor Neil Newbon, best known for his role as Astarion in Baldur's Gate 3. This news delighted many fans, as the characteristic vampire is a favorite among players, who chose him most often out of all the predefined characters. We don't know yet who the actor will play, but some people point to Ingo, whom we could hear in June's gameplay.

GreedFall II: The Dying World will be released in Early Access on PC on September 24. Editions for XSX/S and PS5 are also planned for next year.
