Green Screen Problems in Only Up; AMD Radeon Users Beware

There is a green screen problem in Only Up that affects people with AMD graphics cards. What can be done about it?

Only Up is an interesting game, in which the player's task is to traverse crazy maps, overcome obstacles and climb higher and higher. It is necessary to be careful at every step, because a small mistake can make our character fall and have to start the journey all over again. Unfortunately, a sizable group of people face a problem during the game, in which a green screen appears.

Green Screen in Only Up

Only Up debuted on Steam on May 24 and immediately faced problems. Many players have encountered a green screen that obscures some elements of the map and makes gameplay much more difficult.

It turns out that this trouble occurs for players, who have graphics cards from AMD. The developers addressed the problem and reported on Steam forums that the trouble with the green screen is known to them and are currently working on a fix. They also advise to watch for the availability of new graphics card drivers, as updating them may fix the problem.

Another solution mentioned by the developer is to go into the game's options and change the settings for:

  1. Shadows
  2. Global illumination
  3. Postprocessing

If this does not fix the situation with the green screen on the map, the only thing left to do is to wait for Only Up to receive a patch that will make the trouble go away.

When will the problem be fixed?

As a consolation, it is worth mentioning that the developers are delivering patches relatively quickly. The two previous updates were released two days apart from each other and fixed several known bugs. While it is not known when exactly the green screen problem will be fixed, the developer addressed it on May 28, so it is very possible that the next patch will come out in the next few days.
