Halo Infinite Records Great Success on Steam

The biggest bestseller of last week on Steam turned out to be the campaign DLC for Halo Infinite. Thunder Tier One and GTFO version 1.0 recorded successful debuts as well.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. Excellent sales of Halo: Infinite's campaign and DLCs for Destiny 2;
  2. Successful debuts of Thunder Tier One and version 1.0 of GTFO,
  3. Improving reception of Icarus.

As every Monday, Valve released the list of Steam's biggest (by revenue) bestsellers of the previous week. The sales leader turned out to be the campaign for Halo Infinite. The game's multiplayer mode can be downloaded for free. It was released in mid-November and was a great success.

It is clear that the new installment of the series is very much to the liking of players, because the campaign is expensive, so we could expect that most people will stay with the free multiplayer. However, it turned out the fans were more than eager to play the story mode.

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen Deluxe Bungie 30th Anniversary Bundle came in second place, followed closely by Destiny 2: Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack. Thus, the second and third position of the list are taken by products from Bungie, and on the first - a project continuing the series started by this team.

Last week, the leader of the previous list, the survival game Icarus, dropped to the fourth place. However, its creators have no reasons to complain. The game is still selling very well, and what's more, its reception is improving. Three days after the release only 57% of the reviews of Steam users were positive, while now it is already 62%.

A successful debut was also recorded by the tactical shooter Thunder Tier One, which came in 9th. The top 10 also included Cyberpunk 2077 and GTFO, thanks to attractive discounts. Especially the devs of the latter have reasons to be happy. Last week, this co-op shooter finally left early access, which also helped boost sales. The debut of version 1.0 was quite successful, as the title set a new activity record - yesterday, at the hottest moment of the day, 11,112 people played it simultaneously on Steam. This is almost three times more than the record in Early Access.
