Hellblade 2 is to Make Hellblade Look Like Indie Game

Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2's release is slowly approaching. A recent interview with the founder of Ninja Theory revealed a bunch of new tidbits about the game.

Ninja Theory founder Tameem Antoniades talked about the creation of the new part of Hellblade in a recent interview with NME. He clearly presented his priorities.

"The aim of Hellblade 2's development is not to make the perfect game, but to develop a more believable and sophisticated experience."

Trying to portray reality as faithfully as possible is the guiding principle of the project. And the goal is to create a worthy continuation, visibly better than the original.

How great a role immersion plays in the eyes of the developers was clearly visible in the first part. The sequel, however, is meant to show the players the real potential of the real-world drawing technology used and constantly improved by the developers. Quoting Antoniades:

"Hellblade 2 will make Hellblade look like an indie game."

This time as many as 40 locations in Iceland have been scanned to serve as the basis for the in-game locations, and the actress playing the main character has been trained by a martial arts specialist to "make this aspect real" as well.

In addition to the visuals, the game's theme is also to become closer to the players. Instead of the protagonist's personal journey, with whom we can identify or not, this time the main points of the plot are to be religion and society.

Release date of Hellblade 2 remains unknown. The first gameplay fragment was presented at last year's The Game Awards.
