Here's Riot's Project L - Fighting Game in the LoL Universe

Developers at Riot Games are working on a fighting game in which we can control characters known from the popular MOBA League of Legends. The title is codenamed Project L.

The creators of the League of Legends are working on a fighting game.

The Livestream dedicated to the 10th anniversary of League of Legends was full of announcements of new games. Developers from Riot Games mentioned such things as hack'n'slash, online shooter and card game. But that's not all, because the company is also working on Project L - a fighting game set in the LoL universe.

The game has been in development for some time. The creators are convinced that it will be an interesting proposition for LoL fans and fighters alike.

"People are really excited to see Runeterra's champions from a new perspective - with a different kind of camera. It's really hard to make a fighting game. It's a complicated production. We are in the process of creating something that we think is very cool," said one of the developers.

On the short gameplay fragments (you will find them on the video linked above - around 0:34) we can see a production that seems to resemble Street Fighter V in both graphic style and gameplay mechanics. Everything seems to indicate that the title will combine a three-dimensional setting with classic clashes in two dimensions.

Unfortunately, we do not know when Project L will be available on the market. We do not know the target platforms either. The creators of the game warned that for a long time we will not learn anything new about it.
