Here's What Players Hate in RDR2

Red Dead Redemption 2 may be surprisingly detailed, but the game is also not short of annoying mechanics. We've selected some of the most interesting comments from player discussions.

Even though Red Dead Redemption 2 is an incredibly polished game, fans still found quite a few annoying aspects in it. These are not necessarily bugs, but rather wrong design decisions, but it doesn't change the fact that they can give you a headache.

What's annoying about Red Dead Redemption 2?

The list of complaints, which was based on one of the posts on Reddit is quite long. That's why I've listed all the problems pointed out by the players in subsections (for clarity). So I invite you to read what can be nobly titled as what bugs RDR2 fans?

  1. The inability to travel with The Grand Korrigan outside of the Trelawny mission.
  2. The same goes for the hot air balloon; players wouldn't dislike this travel option either.
  3. Even if you kill someone in the middle of nowhere and someone accidentally sees it, a bounty is imposed on the player. This is where the Crime and Law Rebalance and Enhancement mod comes in handy.
  4. NPCs sometimes exhibit negative intelligence when riding horses. They ride into the player as he passes them, which often results in the NPC's death and (again) a bounty.
  5. The need to walk around camp. Although some feel that the ability to run would negatively impact the immersion.
  6. Players also lack the option to eliminate enemy camps or enemies completely silently. The topic of opening locks with lock picks, which is absent in RDR2, is also raised.
  7. Complaints have also reached the law enforcement officers. According to fans RDR2 lacks mechanics that would enable the AI to recognize whether a player attacked someone in self-defense or did so without any prompts.
  8. Automatically adding weapons during missions isn't much fun for players either. Some prefer a completely different type of weapon than the one imposed on them by RDR2 and would prefer to have a free hand to choose.
  9. There is no possibility to rob banks outside of the missions available in the game.
  10. Fans also complain about the horse AI, which can run into a tree, something these animals would rarely do in real life.

How much more...

Players will always find something they don't like. As you can see, this rule also applies to RDR2. This list could easily go on for several more subsections. So if you would like to read all the fans' grievances, I refer to the collective post.
