Hogwarts Legacy Preload Launches on Steam

WB Games has changed its mind and decided to provide a preload option for the PC version of Hogwarts Legacy.

Yesterday, WB Games disappointed PC gamers by announcing that, unlike their console counterparts, they will not be able to take advantage of the preload option for Hogwarts Legacy. The reaction was so negative that overnight the publisher changed its mind.

  1. Preload has been added to the options on Steam. People who pre-ordered Hogwarts Legacy can therefore start downloading the game files.
  2. This will enables them to start playing at the time of release instead of wasting time downloading almost 100 GB of data.
  3. Recall that the game will officially debut on February 10. However, those who bought the Deluxe Edition will be able to launch the game 72 hours earlier..

The addition of the preload option pleases. Hogwarts Legacy is quite a "heavy" game - according to the system requirements, the PC edition will take up 85 GB on our disk. Having to wait to download such amount of data at the time of release would be annoying. Especially since this is one of the most anticipated games of this year.

First reviews of Hogwarts Legacy suggest that it was worth the wait.

Recall that on February 10 Hogwarts Legacy will be released on PC, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PlayStation 5. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 owners will have to wait until April 4 for their releases, and Nintendo Switch users will have to wait until July 25.
