Here are Steam Awards 2023 Nominations; Starfield Competes for Innovative Gameplay

Valve has announced the game titles nominated by the Steam community for the Steam Awards 2023, with no shortage of hits like Baldur's Gate III, Lies of P, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Resident Evil 4, Diablo IV, Hogwarts Legacy and Starfield among them. Interestingly, Bethesda's creation has a chance to win the award for the most innovative gameplay.

We got to know the titles of the games nominated for the Steam Awards 2023. the list includes Baldur's Gate III, Lies of P, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Resident Evil 4, The Last of Us: Part I, EA Sports FC 24, Starfield (interestingly, the work of Bethesda has a chance to win the award for the most innovative gameplay), Diablo IV, Hogwarts Legacy, and even Red Dead Redemption II. On the other hand, there is no Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.

Are we dealing with a controversy? Nothing of the sort - although some Internet users seem outraged. The work of CD Projekt Red could not be nominated for two reasons.:

  1. DLC could not be nominated;
  2. the base game won in the "labor of love" category last year, so it could not be nominated for it again, while in the other groups only new games (from the last twelve months) are considered.

Below you will find the full list of games nominated for the Steam Awards 2023. We will be able to vote for the best items during the winter sale on Valve's platform, which will begin on December 21 2023 at 10 a.m. PT and will end at that time on January 4, 2024 - whereby you can only vote until January 2. Valve released a trailer announcing it today (below).
