Homeworld 3, the highly anticipated sequel to the cult real-time space strategy series, is landing on Steam.
Yesterday, the official launch of Homeworld 3, the third installment of the iconic space RTS series, took place on Steam. We write "official" because the owners of the special Fleet Command Edition started the game last Friday. The game was developed exclusively for PC. Homeworld 3 is sold on Steam and Epic Games Store.
We waited 21 long years for the third installment - Homeworld 2 was released in 2003. In 2015, we got the Homeworld Remastered Collection, containing updated versions of the first two installments of the series, and a year later, Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak was released, serving as a prequel with the action unfolding on the planet's surface rather than in space like the main series.
So the game has high expectations, but it seems from the initial reviews that the devs were able to meet them for the most part. According to OpenCritic, Homeworld 3 has an average rating of 80%.
Finally, it's worth mentioning the game's requirements.
