In the open world survival crafting game Nightingale, upgrading weapons is an important mechanic. Only with good enough gear can you face the fantastical monsters lurking in the Fae Realms as you look for the magical city of Nightingale, solo or with other players. However, to make stronger gear you will need an upgrade bench, and one of the materials for crafting it is Twine. We explain how to get this resource below.

How to Get Twine in Nightingale

When you’re just starting out in Nightingale, you will only be able to make a Simple Crafting Bench with a blueprint from the Essence Trader. The resources needed to make it are 2x Ingot, 4x Lumber, and 3x Twine. While the Simple Bench only allows you to perform basic upgrades, it still makes combat much easier. That is because strengthening weapons improves their stats, rarity, and adds new Infusion slots.

Let’s discuss how to get Twine, one of the materials necessary to get started. The method of obtaining it is very easy. You simply have to process any type of Fiber at the Simple Spinning Wheel to get Twine. The only problem is – you’ve guessed it – you have to craft the Wheel first.

Just like with the Simple Crafting Bench, the Simple Spinning Wheel needs to be crafted with a recipe bought from an Essence Trader. You can locate this special vendor by looking for a blue ticket icon on your map. In the first realm you visit, the first Essence Trader will be found near the Antiquarian Site of Power. The merchant will have blueprints for all essential structures, as well as other useful items, so prepare a lot of Essence and don’t hesitate to buy out the whole shop.
