Hunt: Showdown headed to early access

Hunt: Showdown is soon going to launch in Steam Early Access, announced Crytek. The co-op/competitive online shooter is going to stay there for at least a year.

Crytek has announced that its interestingly-looking co-op/competitive online shooter Hunt: Showdown is soon going to be released in the Early Access program on Steam, where it is estimated to stay for at least a year. The studio, which earlier gave us the Crysis series, wants to engage the community into giving its next project the final shape and is eager to listen to fans’ feedback. The general premise is to pit two teams of players against each other in a hunt for nightmarish monsters across the Louisiana swamps.

While the developer says Hunt: Showdown is ready to play, it is going to receive a lot of improvements and additions. In time, the game will be getting new Hunters and monsters, gear, maps, game modes and more. We can also expect numerous balance tweaks, performance and visual improvements etc. Note also that while in Early Access, Hunt: Showdown will be sold at a lower price than upon the full release. There is still no specific date of the game’s launch in Early Access, but it is promised to be “soon”.
