In Night City, Biggest Crime Is to Put Pineapple on Pizza. Seriously, There Are Proofs in Cyberpunk 2077

Thought the biggest crime in Night City was theft or robbery? The developers at CD Projekt RED proved what evil incarnate really is.

Night City is a place where we will find many different criminals. Some steal cars, others use violence to achieve their goals, and still others have committed truly bizarre acts to end up on the wanted list. One of these NPCs is a ruffian who has offended many culinary enthusiasts.

You won't find a greater crime

Let's be honest, implementing such content in Cyberpunk is simply a joke on the devs' part. One of the criminals is wanted by the NCPD with a 3-star threat level. You may be thinking that this is just another troublemaker who has angered the Night City police through violence or theft. Nothing could be further from the truth!

This NPC got in trouble with the law for committing the Act of Pizza Desecration. The character illegally used pineapple or pineapple products as a topping on his pizza. As you can see, police officers in Cyberpunk take Italian cuisine seriously, and for them, such an act must be severely punished.

If you don't get to him, the Italians will. Gotta make the eddies choom.

Wait is this actually in the game?

(I'm Italian, if that's the case imma boot into it rn and make myself some justice).

Of course, this is an easter egg intentionally implemented by the developers. The Internet has been debating for many years whether pineapple is a "canonical" addition to pizza or if it is actually a disrespect to the Italian delicacy. One thing is certain, at CD Projekt RED this is a serious problem, if it does exist.

There are definitely more character-related easter eggs in Cyberpunk 2077. It's not necessarily about their behavior, but about the creations themselves. Thus, in Night City we can meet the monk Kan Ye, Hideo Kojima, or even CJ and Big Smoke in reference to the famous mission from GTA: San Andreas. Anyway, check it out for yourself.
