Ninja Kamui is a new hit from Adult Swim, making its TV debut on the Toonami programming block and on the streaming platform Max. It's a story of Joe Higan, who wants to avenge his family and friends. His loved ones were murdered by the clan that Joe left and from which he hid in America. Unfortunately, to no avail, as he was found and punished. Now it is up to him, as Ninja Kamui, to embark on a path of revenge and he’ll have no mercy for his enemies. The first episode is now available.

Many anime have been based on successful manga. Was it the same with Ninja Kamui? No. Adult Swim's work is an original story written by Shigeru Murakoshi exclusively for the anime. So you won't find a manga about Joe Higan's adventures. But if anyone is intrigued by the world of Ninja Kamui and would like to delve more into it, you should look forward to the Q2 2024. That's when a game titled Ninja Kamui: Shinobi Origins, which is based on this anime, is due to be released. So you can see that the creators are interested in further developing this universe, and who knows, maybe in the future we’ll also get a Ninja Kamui manga.

What animation studio created Ninja Kamui?

Ninja Kamui is an original anime produced by E&H Production and Sola Entertainment studios. The former was responsible for this year's ONA Monsters: 103 Mercies Dragon Damnation, while the latter was responsible for Tower of God and is working on the upcoming Lazarus from the creators of John Wick and Cowboy Bebop.
