Is there Trepang1? Truth about Trepang2 Predecessor Is Strange

In this guide we will tell you about connection between Trepang 1 and Trepang 2. If you want to learn more about the history of the „series” read our article.

Trepang2 is a first-person shooter game that takes players on a journey filled with intense action and suspense. Inspired by classic shooters like F.E.A.R. and Half-Life, this title offers a gripping single-player experience with a focus on fast-paced gunfights and atmospheric storytelling. Players will navigate through a variety of levels, engaging in combat against challenging enemies with a wide range of weapons and abilities. Some of the fans are intrigued by the game so much that they would like to know if there is Trepang1. In this article we will answer this question.

Is there Trepang1?

First of all, 2 in Trepang2 is not technically the indication of the place in the series, it is Trepang to square. So, if you are looking for the predecessor, your search may end here. Trepang2 is practically the first game in this franchise (if there will be any in the future).

So, what about theory… is there Trepang or Trepang1? Surprisingly, yes. Nevertheless, it is not connected whatsoever with Trepang2. The title was created for a game jam and it is a side-scrolling platformer about a sea cucumber. You can guess now what a “trepang” means – it is Indonesian word for this animal.

You may learn about this and more on the official Discord server of the game. There is a FAQ section which may have answers for some of your questions.

  1. If You Like Classic Meaty Shooters, Trepang2 Launches Today
  2. The FEAR Series is Dead and Buried, but Trepang2 Looks Like a Worthy Successor
