Demo of New Kao the Kangaroo Now Available on Steam

Steam Next Fest has released a demo of Kao the Kangaroo, a 3D platformer by Tate Multimedia.

The Steam Next Fest launched yesterday. It's an event where players can try out hundreds of demos of upcoming games. Among them was a demo version of Kao the Kangaroo, the next part of a series of 3D platformers.

  2. Availability: until February 28
  3. Duration: several tens of minutes

The demo is only available on PC, but the game is also coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5 consoles later this year.

Kao the Kangaroo PC - minimum system requirements

Before downloading the demo it is worth to get acquainted with the game's system requirements. For now, the devrs have shared only the minimum configuration needed to play.

  2. Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 2 GB
  3. DirectX: 11
  4. RAM: 8 GB
  5. Disk space: 15 GB
  6. Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit

Other interesting demos available on Steam Next Fest

As part of Steam Next Fest several hundred demos were made available. Among them I personally recommend:

  1. Blacktail - first-person action game with Slavic myths from The Parasight.
  2. Boundary - a tactical shooter with astronaut battles.
  3. Crossfire: Legion - RTS from the creators of Homeworld.
  4. IXION - a strategy game about managing a space station.
  5. LUNARK - two-dimensional platformer inspired by Flashback.
  6. Neon White - a first-person 3D platformer focused on speedrunning.
  7. Space Wreck - a post-apocalyptic RPG inspired by the early installments of Fallout.
  8. TFM: The First Men - a strategy game combining RTS and 4X elements, enabling us to lead a primitive community of settlers.
  9. The Wandering Village - an unusual economic strategy in which we build a settlement on the back of a huge beast.
