Recent patch 2.0 and Phantom Liberty DLC have introduced such big changes to Cyberpunk 2077, that many modifications stopped working properly. In order to avoid problems, CD Projekt RED has automatically disabled mods (although you can re-enable them yourself). The modding community quickly rushed to update their projects. Fans showed exceptional diligence, as the most important modifications have already been updated.

We are talking about the projects that form the foundation on which most other modders build their creations. New versions have been released for:

  1. ArchiveXL
  2. Codeware
  3. Cyber Engine Tweaks
  4. RED4ext
  5. Redscript
  6. TweakXL

The aforementioned projects generally expand the options for modifying various elements of the game, add more advanced scripts and introduce architecture on which other developers build their creations. These modifications are used by the majority of modders playing around with customizing Cyberpunk 2077, so now that they have been updated, smaller developers will be able to ensure that their works are compatible with version 2.0 of the game and Phantom Liberty.

After updating these core mods, some of the smaller projects may now work without any fixes, but for many of them additional changes will be necessary. So for now, we recommend that you take complete Phantom Liberty and wait a week or two with the activation of mods.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty made its debut the day before yesterday, i.e. on September 26, on PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.
