Konami's Cult Series is Back. Contra: Operation Galuga Gets Release Date and Demo
Konami has announced the official release date for Contra: Operation Galuga. In addition, you can try out the demo version of the remake of the 1987, cult shoot'em up right now.
Perhaps our slightly older readers still remember the Contra series. Despite experiencing its highs and lows, the first installment from 1987 is now considered iconic. Younger gamers will soon have the opportunity to experience classic games as well.
All thanks to the premiere of Contra: Operation Galuga. The digital version of the shoot'em up remake will be released on March 12 and will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. From March 1, you will be able to place pre-orders for the physical edition of the game, which will hit store shelves on April 14.

Operation Galuga is a fresh take on the cult shooter from the 1980s. WayForward studio devs haven't only ensured a new audiovisual setting but also added extra levels, opponents, bosses, and mechanics. The game will also offer the option of playing with 2 players in the story mode or 4 players in the arcade mode.
It's also worth mentioning that you can currently test the demo version of Contra: Operation Galuga on each of the previously mentioned platforms. According to information provided by Konami, the demo contains a fragment of the first and third stages of the game and offers fun for up to 4 players. Upon completion, extra content will be unlocked in the complete version of the game.
