League of Legends Available on Apple Vision Pro. Not Perfect, But With Cool Features

League of Legends in VR? We still have to wait a while for that, but you can already fire up Riot Games' flagship on Apple Vision Pro glasses. Judge the effect for yourself.

Apple Vision Pro is one of the most hyped devices in recent months. The year 2024 brought us closer to sort of a dystopian vision of future where people spend entire days on end in virtual reality.

In United States, we can already notice pedestrians walking around with the Apple set on their head. It's not always a safe practice, and it might be better not to combine it with video games, but even that's possible.

League of Legends on Apple Vision Pro?

Since 2013, League of Legends has been available on macOS devices. Thanks to this, 11 years later, it could be launched on the Apple Vision Pro augmented reality goggles, as demonstrated by one of Redditors.

In the recording, we can see the player fighting on Summoner's Rift in one of the windows, while two browser windows are displayed next to it - one with Twitch and the other with a website showing character builds. In addition, the user had Discord running in the background.

All this is bread and butter for a LoL player (except maybe playing and watching streams on Twitch at the same time - whatever floats your boat), but without the need for constant alt-tabbing. Instead, you can just look around and wave your hand. Comfortable?

Players react to the connection of LoL with augmented reality.

The author of the thread points out that this type of connection is totally fine, but it's far from the smooth gameplay offered by the regular game launcher (even though he used a mouse and keyboard, and only the screen was transferred to augmented reality).

In their opinion, with the capabilities of 2020 Macbook Air M1, these 4 cards were not too much of a burden, and he himself managed to run as many as 10 simultaneously.

Commentators note that this is undoubtedly an interesting way to play LoL, but not everyone likes playing the game "in a window." Players remind us that, unlike games dedicated to play on VR devices, it is better if MOBA remains in this form, because full screen may be very problematic not so much for the equipment itself but for the user's eyes.

Technicalities aside, LoL fans see only advantages in this solution, which they eagerly express in the comments.

Finally, I can properly watch a movie while playing Yuumi.

Thanks Apple!

Now, when people come into your room, you don't have to feel embarrassed that you're playing League, you can just tell them you're playing Cookie Clicker or something. Actually OP.

Some fans suggest that while playing in AR may not be particularly enjoyable, watching esports games in this way will provide a completely different experience.

Imagine watching a LoL match on one of these. Pure fun without centered HUD and with all the stats, scoreboard, goal counters etc. in side windows.

It would be great if you could also switch to a given player's POV.

Will Riot decide to link their flagship title with VR? This is still unknown today. Would you be interested?
