LoL Bug Leaves You Dead for 1000 Seconds

A Reddit user recently shared an interesting discovery regarding Sion in League of Legends. A bug was found that allowed for the character to stay dead for more than 15 minutes.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. Players on Reddit drew attention to a rare and interesting bug in League of Legends;
  2. This bug only occurs in Nexus Blitz game mode and affects champion Sion;
  3. Due to a bug Sion can be taken out of the game and remain dead for 15 minutes.

Another bug in League of Legends was found by the community. It is quite unique, as from the information available, it seems that certain conditions must be met to trigger it. The bug affects Sion, a character in LoL, one of whose abilities is the ability to temporarily rise from the dead. The description of the ability reads:

PASSIVE SKILL: GLORY IN DEATH

After being killed, Sion will temporarily reanimate with rapidly decaying Health. His attacks become very rapid, heal him, and deal bonus damage based on his target's maximum Health.

Under specific conditions, Sion will be unable to reanimate due to the bug, for around 1000 seconds, or over 15 minutes.

The bug can occur when Sion is under the effect of Glory in Death. However, that's not all. The glitch only occurs in the Nexus Blitz game mode. It's a variation on the classic Summoner's Rift matches and features more dynamic gameplay on a smaller map. The classic course of the game is interrupted by various random events. One of them is Ultra Rapid Fire Deathmatch, in which all players receive various buffs, but at the same time gradually lose health. If Sion's ability to momentarily resurrect himself is active for even a few seconds after the deathmatch ends, he will have to wait over 15 minutes to be revived.

This isn't a bug that would give any Sion mains sleepless nights - it's pretty rare and doesn't affect ranked games, but players are pointing out that the bug has been in the game for a while and Riot Games still hasn't done anything about it.

"This was a bug last nexus blitz too, rip," writes user NainPorteQuoi.

"They still did not patch this bug? Pretty sure its from last nexus blitz which was MONTHS ago wtf...," user rmadrid17 complains.

Actually, Riot Games could have done something about it, especially since Nexus Blitz is a limited game mode that comes and goes with new updates (which players refer to in the comments). It was last restored in patch 11.11 and continues until now.
